This role collaborates with the Data team to develop and maintain data solutions and pipelines within the organization's Data Platform. With curiosity and diligence, they ask the right questions to ensure outcomes align with business and data strategies. They enhance processes and technology, working with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver effective solutions. Combining data engineering and ETL expertise, they translate business requirements into system and data deployments. As a data champion, they oversee deployments, manage UAT, live testing, support, and warranty processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies opportunities to drive business value through data by enhancing processes, developing new data products, and evolving data operations.
- Develops efficient ETL pipelines for data processing within the Snowflake platform using ETL tools.
- Documents processes and pipelines comprehensively in Confluence.
- Supports issue resolution through the incident framework in Jira.
- Monitors daily ETL jobs and batch processing.
- Enhances the Snowflake data platform with improvements and optimizations.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in Data Warehousing methodologies (Kimball, 3NF, Data Vault 2.0).
- Proficiency in ETL development tools (e.g., Matillion, DBT, Python/Spark).
- Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive SQL knowledge (DDL and DML).
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with cloud databases (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning abilities.
- Experience collaborating with third-party vendors.
- Ability to manage workloads and meet fixed deadlines.
- Data modeling experience is desirable.
