Domain Architect Lead Engineer – Embedded Digital Infrastructure

We’re seeking a Domain Architect Lead Engineer – Embedded Digital Infrastructure to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Head of Software Defined Systems , you will be responsible for the creation and use of Systems Engineering processes and tools to robustly architect complex and software defined Systems to meet customer expectations within the Embedded Digital Infrastructure Domain. You will support teams in the design, engineering, testing and validation of all systems in the vehicle electrical architecture for our current and next generation electric vehicles.
This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What You’ll Do
- Be responsible for Systems Engineering of Embedded Digital Infrastructure Systems, providing Systems Engineering technical leadership to Embedded Digital Infrastructure Systems Engineers.
- Conduct Systems Engineering with responsibility for concurrent engineering of the current range of company’s EV vehicles, focusing on the definition and delivery of software vehicle features.
- Own and manage complex distributed vehicle features, from definition to delivery in the area of Embedded Digital Infrastructure (Networks, Diagnostics & Flashing, Vehicle Accounts, Digital Security, SOTA, FOTA).
- Work closely with the Electrical and Software architectures team, responsible for ensuring vehicle features and their interfaces align with the Electrical Architecture, and meet applicable quality, safety and legal requirements. This extends to supporting feature definitions carried out by domain specialists to ensure adequate information flow, technical alignment, and adherence to guidelines and quality standards.
- Provide support to Project Engineers and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring common technical understanding of vehicle software features, and their logical and physical interfaces. Responsible for delivery in line with feature implementation plans.
Who You Are
- Broad experience of systems engineering delivering software controlled, distributed Embedded Digital Infrastructure functions from conception to launch within an automotive engineering environment.
- Extensive experience generating and analysing requirements. Working knowledge of requirements management tools, Polarion and Doors.
- Working knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures, including domain and zonal architectures, distributed vehicle functions and networks.
- Understanding of software architectures and development methodologies. Experience working with or as part of test and validation teams. Deep understanding of verification and validation strategies and environments.
- Articulate, self-motivated, and adept at providing effective guidance and technical leadership to others while also excelling in independent initiative.
