About the role
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will drive sales of Teleplan Forsberg products with a primary focus onthe provision of Situational Awareness solutions and secondary focus on Assured Position, Navigation and Timing capabilities. The BDE is responsible for creating and managing leads, understanding customer requirements, delivering product demonstrations and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities aligned to Teleplan Forsberg strategic goals.
Principal Accountabilities.
Market Awareness:
Drive market awareness of Teleplan Forsberg and its products primarily within the Defence industry to produce new leads.
Track emerging markets and trends in Defence Situational Awareness market and associated applications.
Regularly provide feedback on the Defence market, competitors, and customers, and collaborate with the company leadership to produce tailored strategic business winning strategies for opportunities.
Identify product development opportunities which will be valued by our customers and generate additional revenue for the business.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with UK and international customers and users at multiple levels.
Understand user and market requirements in relation to company product portfolio including knowledge of funding streams.
Sales Coordination:
Work within pan-European sales function to support group objectives.
Work closely with the Technical Sales team and Commercial Director to coordinate technical information and supporting costs for bids, ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.
Perform opportunity analysis and risk management to inform the directors of the cost/benefit ratio at key decision gateways.
Provide insights into opportunities, customer needs, and technical requirements to assist in business cases, product definition, and development.
Operational Execution:
Execution of team activity in UK and overseas including exhibitions, exercises, demonstrations and training events.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties, vendors, advisors and agents and coordinate their involvement.
Provide on-site support and training for customers as required and deliver training on all equipment related to the project.
Documentation:
Maintain records of opportunities with company CRM tool and any other administrative required for the role.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including training materials, handbooks, and user manuals.
Continuous Improvement and Quality Standards:
Communicate constructively with management for continuous improvement and enforce quality standards in line with company policy.
