We are hiring our first dedicated SRF/RDF Alternative Fuels Sourcing Manager to source solid recovered fuel and refuse-derived fuel from European producers for delivery into the cement sector in Sub Saharan Africa, with the port infrastructure and industrial offtake agreements in place from large cement groups. This role starts as a senior individual contributor and is expected to grow into a Head of Sourcing position with a small team of two to three within 18–24 months. Candidates who can both personally source today and lead a desk tomorrow are exactly who we are looking for.
The opportunity Enedroc is an energy and resource trading company building physical supply chains between Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. We hold storage and handling capacity at Port facilities, contracted offtake relationships with cement producers, and the licences required to move material into the pilot marketplace. The business is backed by Forsage Holdings, an Irish family office with a long-term investment portfolio across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
What you would do:
- Develop direct relationships with SRF/RDF producers across Europe — MBT operators, MRFs, waste processors, fuel aggregators — focusing on producers rather than re-traders.
- Source and qualify supply on specification, gate fee, export readiness and shipment economics.
- Work the full trade economics: gate fee, processing, port handling, freight, inspection, working capital, margin.
- Coordinate with our local team, port operators, surveyors, freight providers and end customers to move shipments from negotiation to delivery.
- Build a pipeline of repeatable supply, then term contracts, with the goal of scaling to industrial volumes within 18–24 months.
- Recruit and lead a small sourcing desk as the platform scales.
- Contribute to SSA outbound flows (HDPE, biomass) as the platform grows.
Who we are looking for:
- You probably sit today at a, N+P, Andusia, Stonegrove, Beauparc, FCC, Veolia, Suez, PreZero, Renewi, Indaver, Interwaste or similar — or you have recently left one.
- You understand SRF/RDF as a physical product.
- Required: 5+ years in SRF/RDF, alternative fuels, waste-to-energy, biomass or related physical waste-fuel trading.
- Direct producer relationships in at least one of the following: UK, Benelux, Iberia, Italy, Germany, France or the Nordics.
- Working knowledge of EU Waste Shipment Regulation, Annex VII / IB notification procedure, and EWC coding.
- Comfort with the operational detail behind each shipment — specs, sampling, freight, documentation, payment.
- Ability to work independently in a lean structure where you own the result.
- Highly valued: Cement-sector alternative-fuels experience (sourcing or co-processing side).
- African or other emerging-market trade exposure.
- Experience with the new WSR 2024/1157 regime and non-OECD destinations.
- French.
Location: Remote working only. Willingness to travel to European producer sites and African offtaker facilities 2-4 times a year.
