About The Role
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team, located in Ashford. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our students by helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Wash up and clean kitchen equipment and utensils
- Support the cook with stock rotation and deliveries
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential)
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
