Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their established finance team based in Wigan. You will be joining a successful and long-established manufacturing business and will play an integral role in supporting the Finance Manager, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitoring cashflow and producing regular reports
- Processing supplier payments accurately and on time
- Completing detailed revenue reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting
- Supporting improvements to finance processes and internal controls
- Calculating monthly overriders
- Maintaining fixed asset schedules and calculating depreciation
- Completing ONS surveys as required
- Assisting with the year-end audit process
- Providing cover for Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Payroll when required
About You:
They are looking for someone who is AAT Level 4 qualified and has experience in a similar finance/accounts role. The right candidate will ideally have knowledge of Sage 200 and an understanding of payroll processes.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, Full Time
