Working for a leading manufacturing firm based in the heart of South Manchester, the Talent Specialist & HR Coordinator will be responsible for delivering an efficient and end-to-end recruitment service across the group, ensuring high quality candidate attraction, selection, and onboarding whilst supporting hiring managers and promoting employer brand. You shall also be supporting the HR team with daily HR tasks and managing a busy HR admin box.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Recruitment Management: Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from approval through to onboarding and induction. Working with hiring managers to understand role requirements, producing job descriptions and person specifications. Oversee all employed and self-employed hiring, for both commercial and blue-collar positions.
  • Candidate sourcing & Attraction: Creating and managing job adverts using systems such as Job Train (or equivalent ATS system). Pro-actively sourcing candidates through a range of channels, including job boards, social platforms, careers events, open days and pipelines. Building and maintaining relationships with external recruitment agencies. Represent the business at recruitment events, job fairs, schools & community partnerships. Screen applications, through to conducting initial assessments and producing high-quality shortlists for management.
  • Onboarding: Manage the offer process, through to contract and employment commencement. Co-ordinating internally to arrange IT equipment and vehicles.
  • Induction & Integration: Develop and coordinate induction schedules and deliver them.
  • HR Support & Administration: Provide general HR administration support when required. Act as first point of contact for all HR related queries. Manage HR inbox queries and support with general administrative and payroll-related tasks when required.
  • Other duties: Regular reporting & system improvement. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the ATS and recruitment tracking systems. Track recruitment activity, providing regular updates to hiring managers. Manage and review employer review platforms such as Glassdoor. Support diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives within recruitment processes.
