Desirables

• Playing a key role in providing financial in-sight, control and guidance to help the business grow
• Varied position, full ownership of management accounts, analyse performance and work closely with managers across the business
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and supporting reports
• Monitor project performance with variance analysis and commentary against budgets and forecasts
• Deliver detailed analysis on financial and operational performance, working with operations teams to support cost control and efficiency improvements
• Reconcile control and balance sheet accounts, VAT returns, and inventory control
• Partner closely with departmental managers across multiple sites
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital
• Conduct costing analysis, WIP (work in progress) reporting, and margin analysis
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, industry regulations, and accounting standards (IFRS / UK GAAP)
• Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Contribute to system and process improvements within finance
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis for senior management

What You’ll Bring

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Experience of month-end processing
• Previous experience in project accounting, job costing (preferred)
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
