We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator on behalf of a well-established organisation that continues to go from strength to strength. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain administration to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Purchasing Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the procurement function and ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplier communications across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising, processing, and amending purchase orders
- Monitoring supplier acknowledgements and resolving discrepancies
- Tracking and expediting orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Updating and maintaining the ERP system (SAP)
- Producing purchasing reports and trackers using Excel
- Supporting stock control activities, including monitoring shortages and reorder levels
- Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers regarding orders and lead times
- Building strong relationships with internal departments including Warehouse and Finance
About You
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who:
- Has previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role
- Is working towards or holds a CIPS Level 4 qualification
- Is confident using computer systems, including Excel and ERP systems such as SAP
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Can manage priorities effectively in a busy environment
