An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and expanding finance function. This role would suit someone with practical accounting experience who is keen to build on their skills within a positive and forward-thinking business. Daily duties will include:
- This position offers a broad range of responsibilities in a busy finance environment, including:
- Carrying out various balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Processing import loan transactions in line with internal service targets
- Maintaining and reconciling the Amazon customer ledger
- Assisting with cashflow forecasts and financial reporting
- Supporting month-end close activities and journal postings
- Managing accounts for smaller entities, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining stocktake records
- Preparing and submitting smaller VAT returns
The successful applicant will already have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within a similar finance role and will either be AAT qualified or working towards their qualification. Candidates who are part-qualified will be supported with the completion of studies. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with multiple ledgers and ideally have exposure to intercompany accounting, however this is not essential. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills alongside a good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
