Forrest Recruitment are working with a successful company who have been established for over 18 years and boast a £13 Million annual turnover. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a professional team of x2, working alongside the Accounts Manager.
Duties will include:
- Purchase Ledger - Raising POs for materials and equipment
- Matching delivery notes to supplier invoices (manually)
- Inputting purchase invoices onto a bespoke system which posts through to Sage 50 (300-400 a month)
- Reconciling supplier statements/credit card statements
- Preparing of monthly payment runs onto Sage50
- Maintaining on Excel spreadsheets of disputed invoices for monthly reconciliation
- Posting supplier payments/updating supplier register
- Reconciling intercompany purchases
- Working to month end deadlines
- Sales Ledger - Raising intercompany sales invoices
- Inputting of sales invoices onto Sage
- Posting customer receipts/payments
- Reconciling intercompany sales
- Small amount of credit control via telephone and email
- Subcontractor Ledger - Entering around 25x timesheet weekly on a bespoke system for subcontractors
- Posting subcontractor payments and preparing a payment batch on Sage 50
- Verifying subcontractors for CIS status on a bespoke system and maintaining electronic records of subcontractor details
- Assisting the Accounts Manager with monthly CIS returns
- Additional - Answering calls in the office
- Maintaining records of vehicles, drivers license checks, insurance documents
- Manual and electronic filing
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a relaxed and friendly office. Must have 2-3 years experience in all round accounts and be able to work in a small hands-on team. CIS/Construction industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
