Our client, a leading manufacturer in Newcastle under Lyme, is currently seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join their team, to provide excellent support to new and existing customers. They would like someone locally to Stoke on Trent so they have good geographical knowledge of the area as you will be expected to visit local clients and maintain relationships. This is an excellent opportunity with a company who offers a competitive salary, car allowance, sales bonus, flexible hybrid opportunities, health cash plan scheme and company pension scheme.
Duties will include:
- Liaise with existing customers to gain opportunities to quote on business and secure contracts
- Use resources to track and contact existing and potential customers
- Target new markets for their products
- Plan and manage agreed territory according to an agreed market development strategy
- Prioritise activities and customer/prospective contact towards achieving agreed business aims, costs and sales
- Attend and present external customer meetings and internal meetings with departments to aid business development
- Support with preparing customer estimates for work and support the internal sales team as needed
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries
- Monitor and report on current market trends and competitor activities
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge
The successful candidate must have previous experience of a similar position for at least 3 years, be professional, have excellent communications and organisational skills with good time management. Ideally have worked within a manufacturing industry previously due to knowledge and be target driven.
