Forrest Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established legal practice to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant / Legal Secretary. This is a part-time, office-based position providing dedicated support to one of the fee earners within a busy conveyancing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support, ensuring the efficient progression of conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive support to a designated fee earner
- Assisting with the management of conveyancing files throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Preparing, amending and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Handling client communications in a professional and timely manner
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
- Managing diaries, deadlines and key dates
- Maintaining accurate records via case management systems
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a conveyancing assistant or legal secretary role
- Strong working knowledge of residential conveyancing processes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
This is a part-time role with preferred working days as Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays. In return you will receive, 20 days annual leave (full-time equivalent) plus additional birthday leave and Christmas office shutdown (full-time equivalent) and access to standard pension scheme.
