Temporary Facilities & Centre Manager, Manchester Based.
Immediate start, 6 week + duration.
Mon to Fri, 9am to 5.30pm.
Responsibilities of a Temporary Facilities & Centre Manager
- Lead on‑site teams and contractors, delivering high‑quality FM services aligned with the asset strategy.
- Work closely with Surveying, Marketing and Admin teams to maximise occupancy and enhance the occupier experience.
- Manage PR, social media and community relationships to strengthen the centre’s profile.
- Oversee all statutory compliance, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions.
- Manage hard and soft services, planned maintenance, contractor performance and service delivery.
- Produce specifications, manage procurement, validate invoices and monitor budgets.
- Handle maintenance requests, minor projects, safety tours and property inspections.
- Ensure robust Health & Safety and Environmental management systems are in place.
- Support insurance claims, incident reporting and operational issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate property documentation and ensure all works follow correct H&S procedures.
- Build strong relationships with occupiers, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Provid performance reporting and support wider FM strategies and management team cover when required.
Essentials of a Temporary Facilities & Centre Manager
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in shopping centre or retail management essential.
- Strong FM background with hard services experience.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); BIFM/IOSH membership desirable.
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident managing budgets, service charge and contractor performance.
- Social media awareness and ability to represent the centre professionally.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment.
