An established and respected legal practice based in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and ensure full regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role, ideal for someone with a strong background in legal practice management who enjoys responsibility, structure, and working closely with senior stakeholders.

The Role

  • Managing daily operations of the legal practice
  • Overseeing Legal Aid audits and ongoing compliance
  • Conducting file reviews and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Staff management, including supervision and performance oversight
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies including the Legal Aid Agency, Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), and Law Society
  • Submitting monthly bills and overseeing financial administration
  • Managing regulatory matters and ensuring policies and procedures are up to date
  • Providing audio typing, secretarial support, and general administrative duties as required

  • Proven experience as a Legal Practice Manager (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of Legal Aid processes and audits
  • Confident handling regulatory and compliance matters
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
