We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Costs Draftsperson to join a successful and expanding legal firm based in Manchester City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in a supportive, flexible, and modern working environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of legal costs matters, working closely with fee earners and external parties to ensure accurate and timely cost recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting bills of costs (Precedent H, detailed assessments, etc.)
- Preparing points of dispute and replies
- Negotiating costs and conducting costs litigation where required
- Liaising with solicitors, clients, and third parties
- Ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines
About You
- Previous experience as a Legal Costs Draftsperson (essential)
- Strong knowledge of costs procedures and civil litigation rules
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
