Overview
We are currently seeking an Assistant in Management Accounts for one of our local clients. The main purpose of this role is to provide support with the day‑to‑day functions of the finance team. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and supporting with projects when required.
Daily Duties
- Managing the purchase ledger process, including invoice matching, batching, and coding
- Supporting weekly payment runs and maintaining supplier relationships
- Assisting with CHAPS, BACS, and other payment processes
- Posting and reconciling transactions within the cash book
- Completing daily bank reconciliations accurately and on time
- Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries (phone and email)
- Supporting month‑end processes and financial reporting
- Assisting with treasury back‑office activities
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified (or working towards)
- At least 3 years' experience within an accounting or finance role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships
- Good IT skills and experience with finance systems
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
