We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a well-established and growing business based on the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a varied role and being an important part of the day-to-day finance operations. The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance team with a range of accounting duties, ensuring the smooth running of the company’s financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing credit control and maintaining customer accounts
- Processing accounts payable and receivable
- Raising invoices and processing supplier payments
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
- Recording and maintaining accurate daily financial transactions
- Maintaining organised financial records for audit and compliance
- Supporting the finance team with general accounts duties
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience (approx. 3 years+)
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks
- Positive attitude and strong team player
