Forrest Recruitment Ltd are currently supporting a well-established and highly regarded professional services with the recruitment of an experienced Legal Marketing Manager to take overall responsibility for their marketing function and play a key role in supporting the firm's continued growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious marketing professional who already has previous experience working within a legal firm or law practice and understands the unique requirements of marketing professional legal services.
You will take ownership of the firm's marketing and communications strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen the firm's brand, develop client relationships, increase market visibility and identify new business opportunities.
The Role
- Taking overall responsibility for the firm's marketing function and supporting business development, client engagement and continued growth
- Developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications plan aligned with the firm's wider business objectives
- Managing and strengthening the firm's brand and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels
- Planning and delivering targeted marketing campaigns across both traditional and digital platforms
- Developing and managing the firm's content strategy, including website content, legal articles, newsletters, client communications and other promotional materials
- Managing the firm's digital presence, including website performance, SEO, social media and online marketing activity
- Supporting and developing business development initiatives designed to strengthen existing client relationships and generate new opportunities
- Planning and overseeing networking events, sponsorships, seminars and client engagement activities
- Working closely with fee earners and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to raise the firm's profile and develop new business
- Supporting the HR function through employer branding initiatives and internal and external recruitment campaigns
- Managing external marketing agencies, suppliers and third-party partners
- Monitoring marketing activity, analysing performance and producing regular reports using data and market insight
- Managing the marketing budget and ensuring resources are invested effectively
- Managing and supporting an Events & Business Development Executive
- Identifying new marketing opportunities and keeping up to date with developments within the legal and professional services sector
About You
This role requires someone who understands that marketing a law firm is very different from marketing a standard commercial business. We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced marketing professional with a strong background within the legal sector
- Confident developing and implementing marketing strategies within a professional services environment
- Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of business development and client engagement
- Experienced in digital marketing, website management, SEO and social media
- A strong content writer with the ability to produce engaging and professional communications
- Experienced in organising and managing events, networking opportunities and sponsorship activity
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, solicitors and fee earners
- Comfortable analysing marketing data and producing performance reports
- Highly organised with excellent project management skills
- Commercial, proactive and able to identify opportunities rather than simply respond to them
