We are recruiting for a Payroll/Accounts Administrator to join a busy finance team in Burscough. Our client is a leading engineering specialist, delivering complex engineering solutions across major construction and infrastructure projects. Due to an increase in workload and continued growth, they are looking for an organised and detail-focused Payroll/Accounts Administrator to join a small, friendly and established team.

The Role

The job offers variety day to day and will involve approximately 60% payroll and 40% accounts duties - your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the processing of weekly and monthly Payrolls
  • Updating employee payroll details including setting up new starters and leavers, tax code notification changes and compliance checks
  • Actioning employee sacrifice requests ensuring National Minimum Wage is not breached
  • Administrating company pension schemes
  • Ensuring payroll information is accurate and up to date
  • General finance tasks assisting the department where required
  • Logging of invoices to the internal database
  • Basic processing of invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and information
  • Liaising internally with various teams to resolve invoice and payroll queries

About You
