An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing business based in the construction sector in the Burscough area. Due to internal progression, the company is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to join their Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven L&D professional looking to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving business.

Key duties will include:

  • Supporting managers with day-to-day training and development needs
  • Maintaining and updating the staff competency matrix
  • Coordinating inductions, probation reviews and annual performance reviews
  • Identifying skills gaps and arranging relevant training
  • Managing the training calendar and booking courses
  • Keeping training records and systems up to date
  • Producing reports on training activity and employee development
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of training and gathering feedback
  • Supporting the use of e-learning platforms and encouraging engagement
  • Assisting with HR administration related to learning and development
  • Promoting a coaching and continuous learning culture across the business
  • Supporting employee development plans and career pathways
  • Assisting with talent reviews and succession planning activities
  • Coordinating apprenticeships, trainees and early careers programmes
  • Liaising with training providers and colleges

Hours of work:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 9:00am - 5:30pm (1 hour lunch break)

Our client is keen to seek experienced Learning & Development professionals, ideally from a construction or civil engineering background. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and will be proactive, well organised and confident in supporting learning initiatives that make a real impact across the organisation.
