How to prepare for a job interview at Forrest Recruitment

Know Your Stuff

Before the interview, make sure you understand the role of a Scheduler inside out. Familiarise yourself with common scheduling software and tools, as well as the types of maintenance and repairs you might be booking. This will show your potential employer that you're not just interested in the job, but that you're ready to hit the ground running.

Practice Your Communication Skills

As a Scheduler, clear communication is key. Practice answering common interview questions out loud, focusing on being concise and confident. You might even want to role-play with a friend, simulating client calls or queries to get comfortable with the kind of interactions you'll have in the role.

Show Off Your Geographical Knowledge

Since strong geographical knowledge of the North West is desirable, brush up on your local knowledge. Be prepared to discuss how this knowledge can help you in scheduling and booking maintenance effectively. Mention any specific areas you’re familiar with and how that could benefit the team.

Ask Insightful Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! This shows your interest in the role and the company. You could ask about the team dynamics, how success is measured for a Scheduler, or what challenges the team currently faces. This not only gives you valuable information but also demonstrates your proactive attitude.
