A major banking client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Technical Documentation Consultant to support the modernization of a critical Payments Gateway platform. This is a client‑facing role working closely with engineering, architecture, product, and delivery teams across multiple value streams. You will need to be technically credible and confident engaging directly with engineers, third‑party stakeholders, and senior client teams.
Responsibilities
- You will engage with engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders to produce and maintain high‑quality API documentation, integration guides, and other technical delivery artefacts that support continuous delivery and release of the Payments Gateway platform.
Qualifications
- Experience producing API documentation, integration guides, and technical delivery artefacts.
- Financial services background; payments domain experience a strong differentiator.
- Familiarity with documentation tooling.
- Experience embedded within Agile delivery teams and modern software engineering environments.
- Confident communicator with experience engaging engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders directly.
Contract Details
- Up to £650 per day Inside IR35.
- 6‑month initial contract.
- Hybrid London (2 days per week onsite).
