Backed by external investment and targeting SMEs across POS and e-commerce, this isn't a maintenance job or a patch exercise. The business is rebuilding its payments platform from the ground up, and six months of product vision is already documented — your job is to turn it into a buildable backlog so engineering can hit the ground running. You'll be stepping in at the start of discovery, working across three value streams simultaneously, and shaping how product gets done for a programme that's accelerating fast.
Responsibilities as a Product Manager / Business Analyst:
- Distilling six months of Confluence-based product documentation into sprint-ready, actionable engineering backlogs
- Owning product and BA coverage across three value streams, balancing breadth without losing depth
- Structuring raw, ambitious requirements into coherent, deliverable user stories
- Establishing a product operating model in an environment that is still maturing
- Working in a blended delivery model alongside the client team, co-creating rather than dictating
- Mentoring and upskilling client-side product people earlier in their journey
- Moving at pace as the programme scales
Skills and Requirements for this Product Manager / Business Analyst role:
- Proven background in payments, fintech, or payment gateway environments
- Strong BA capability operating within a product model, or a PM/PO with a heavy execution and backlog focus
- Experienced in translating complex documentation into stories an engineering team can actually build
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and confident building structure from scratch
- Experience in consulting or blended delivery models
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
- Banking or regulated environment experience essential
- Immediately available or on short notice strongly preferred
