Contract People Technology Transformation Lead HR & Payroll Transformation £700-800/day | 6 months initial with genuine scope for extension.
We’ve partnered with an established global business on a business-critical people technology transformation, looking for a Transformation Lead. They’re moving off an ageing legacy HR and payroll system onto a modern modular setup, starting with core HR and expanding into integrated payroll, workforce management and the data infrastructure behind the whole people programme.
The good news is you’ll be the single point of leadership for the UK programme, with a strong team around you and real visibility at Exec/SLT level.
What you’ll be doing as a Transformation Lead:
- Taking ownership of the UK side of the programme, from deciding what gets done and in what order through to seeing it land.
- Pulling HR, Payroll, Tech, Finance and Legal together with the partners and the global team, so everyone’s working towards the same plan.
- Keeping a close eye on what the UK needs from the global team (and vice versa) so nothing gets missed.
- Keeping senior leadership in the loop on progress and risks, and flagging anything blocking the work early.
- Getting the business safely off the old HR and payroll system, with a solid cutover plan and payroll compliance covered.
What they’re looking for in a Transformation Lead:
- Someone who has led a big HR or payroll systems change before, ideally replacing a legacy platform.
- A Transformation Lead who’s as comfortable working out the plan as they are rolling their sleeves up to deliver it.
- Someone who builds strong relationships with senior leaders but is happy to push back and hold people to deadlines.
- Experience juggling internal teams, vendors and a global head office at the same time.
- Knowledge of HCM or payroll platforms is a bonus but not a must.
Please note, due to the amount of applicants, not all will receive personalised feedback.
