We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join a well-established, scaled consumer business with a large and growing engineering function. This is a company that takes engineering seriously; teams own what they build end to end, which means you'll drive technical excellence and team performance. Responsibilities
- Lead a squad of engineers and specialists, managing performance, providing coaching, and supporting career development.
- Take ownership of technical decisions within the squad, ensuring alignment with wider engineering and company strategy.
- Work with the Product Manager to set OKRs, co-lead quarterly and annual planning, and drive prioritisation to achieve goals.
- Identify risks and blockers early, communicating progress against OKRs and KPIs to relevant stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence, including on-call coverage, SLO attainment, and regular metrics reviews.
- Foster a healthy, positive team culture and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (UX, Data, Product).
- Ensure the squad is appropriately staffed with the right technical skills, contributing to hiring as needed.
