The products are strong individually but don't yet feel like one joined-up journey and pulling that together across web and app is the core of the role. Lead, coach and grow a team of Product Designers, hiring as the function expands. Join up discovery, transaction and post-purchase journeys into a single coherent experience. Set the standard for design quality and stay hands-on enough to help teams reach it. Work with Analytics and Product to test assumptions and measure how designs perform. Decide where AI earns its place in a product and where it adds noise. Spend real time with users rather than reviewing work from a distance. Requirements for a Director of Product Design : Proven leadership of Product Design in a business where the product carries the growth. Experience across complex products serving distinct user groups who want different things. Comfortable designing for consumers and for professionals using tools daily as part of their job. Strong craft instincts and a talent for reducing complexity rather than hiding it. Works closely with Product and Engineering, happy pushing back and being pushed back on. You'll lead design in a business where the product is the growth engine, with the budget, the team and the executive backing to make the experience meaningfully better.
