We've partnered with a Series A, mission-driven SaaS business to find a Tech Lead who will take ownership of core backend delivery and help scale a platform that is already handling millions of real-world operational requests.

As Tech Lead, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and sit at the centre of technical and delivery decision-making. You will own the Rails monolith, drive feature delivery end-to-end, and act as the escalation point for both technical and delivery challenges across the stack.

Responsibilities as a Tech Lead:

  • Own technical direction across the backend monolith, covering architecture decisions, API design, system reliability, and background job performance
  • Drive end-to-end delivery, from scoping and estimation through to execution, managing trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality
  • Strong professional Ruby on Rails experience in production, with a solid grasp of monolith architecture and full-stack troubleshooting
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis and RESTful API design
  • Comfortable with AWS-based infrastructure and Docker in development or production environments
  • Experience scoping technical work, running agile ceremonies, or working in B2B SaaS or live operational systems (desirable)

If you're a strong Ruby leader or engineer ready to take your next step into technical leadership with a mission-driven SaaS business making a genuine difference in how people access the world around them, we'd love to hear from you.
