We're working with a Bristol-based SaaS business to find a Back End Developer to join their core product engineering team. They build B2B software used by financial services clients, and the work spans backend services, APIs and frontend, with real ownership across the stack. It's a collaborative team with good engineering practices and room to grow.

As a Software Engineer you'll work closely with product and design to deliver well-engineered features across a modern web application stack.

Responsibilities as a Back End Developer:
  • Build and maintain core product features across backend services and frontend
  • Design and build RESTful APIs and contribute to platform architecture
  • Work with SQL, NoSQL and graph databases, including query optimisation
  • Contribute to infrastructure and deployment tooling across the stack
  • Refactor and improve existing services to increase engineering velocity
  • Collaborate closely with product, design and ops teams to deliver quality solutions
Requirements:
  • Strong foundations in software engineering principles
  • Production experience in Golang
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with databases including SQL and NoSQL
  • Comfort with CI/CD and a test-first mindset
  • Some exposure to cloud or infrastructure tooling such as AWS or Kubernetes
  • Frontend experience, ideally React, is a bonus
  • Experience in a product-led or scale-up environment is a plus
