We're partnering with a well-funded early-stage company building a consumer platform that helps people make smarter decisions about the things they care most about, Animals and Pets. Whether that be reducing costs, saving time, and connecting them to the right services at the right moment.
The product is already live with real users and the team is now building toward a full platform: a consumer-facing app, a professional tools layer for service providers, and company-operated services powered by real-time location and logistics technology.
Responsibilities as a Founding Engineer:
- Take an existing live consumer mobile app to its full product vision on iOS and Android
- Architect and build a professional platform for independent service providers operating within the ecosystem
- Massive focus on both UI and UX
- Own the full stack. Frontend, backend, infrastructure and make the right technical calls independently
- Collaborate directly with the founders on product direction, roadmap and priorities
Requirements:
- A track record shipping consumer mobile products on iOS and Android, end to end
- Experience in React Native, NestJS and strong backend fundamentals
- Comfortable architecting platforms with multiple user types, consumers, professionals, and operators
- Genuinely fluent in modern AI dev tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot), this is how you'll scale yourself
- Strong product taste, you notice when something feels off and you fix it
- Thrives with autonomy in an early-stage environment; no need for large teams or heavy process
