The business is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join their lean, highâperforming team. This is a backfill role with responsibility for delivering database improvements, modernising legacy systems, and driving adoption of automation and AI tools across the business.
Responsibilities- Deliver improvements and modernisation across core database systems
- Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available, scalable database solutions in Azure and PostgreSQL
- Lead migrations from legacy onâprem SQL systems to cloudânative platforms
- Design database scaling strategies and operational workflows
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure secure, reliable data delivery
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline management and automation (Terraform, Azure DevOps)
- Resolve complex incidents and implement preventative strategies
- Strong expertise in database architecture, design, and administration
- Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL
- Migrations, CI/CD, and database automation (Terraform, PowerShell/Python)
