We are working with an energy start-up whose mission is to make energy cleaner and promote sustainable practices that benefit the planet. They are looking for a Software Engineer to build and enhance their web applications. You’ll play a pivotal role in writing clear, responsive code, taking ownership of the UI, and applying a strong understanding of mobile-first design principles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Use customer feedback to develop the UI
- Work with other software engineers to ensure seamless integration with services and APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI bugs, performance issues
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ commercial Software Engineer experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small team
Nice to have:
- Experience with Python, Postgres, REST APIs, or other backend frameworks
- Knowledge/previous use of AI to aid with timing and planning
- Experience in start-up environments is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite), Git, or Docker

Working: Hybrid working in Bristol Area – onsite Mon & Thurs
