We are looking for a Senior Security Coordinator to join our Security team. Reporting into our Security Operations Lead, this role will coordinate and support the planning, implementing, and ongoing delivery of security measures for Formula 1.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of Formula One Grand Prix and non-GP events by working closely with the relevant Promoter(s) and/or event organisers to obtain all required race and event-related documentation in accordance with their contractual obligations.
- Ensure the security documentation received by the relevant Promoters and event organisers in the lead-up to the Grand Prix weekend or event are fit for purpose and contain relevant detail to outline security controls and mitigation measures.
- Assist the security department in effectively communicating the F1 Safety & Security Framework to new Promoters, ensuring clear understanding of expectations, standards, and compliance requirements from the outset.
- Engage in the pre-race planning phase by participating in and attending regular meetings with promoters to review and log their Grand Prix security plans.
- Support the department in developing and maintaining an active global network of trusted law enforcement, intelligence and private security contacts.
- Develop comprehensive F1 security briefing documentation that clearly identifies threats to race events, personnel deployment, and associated operations.
- Ensure that all briefing materials and incident management documentation are tailored to the specific race location and operational context.
- Distribute the security racing briefs, incident management plans and emergency evacuation plans to relevant business stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency, accuracy, and clarity in all briefing documents.
- Assist in ensuring that appropriate security measures, mitigation strategies, and support mechanisms are in place for all staff travelling to and operating within race locations.
- Support in logging identified security concerns and observations over a race weekend within the security incident log software.
- Collaborate with the relevant Security Manager(s) to compile and deliver structured post-event feedback to Promoters.

- Able to describe security concepts to non-security people.
Experience
- Supporting and delivering effective and efficient security programmes, with a focus on customer-facing outcomes.
- Previous experience with physical security, personnel protection, security technologies, and tools associated with crisis and incident response capabilities.
- Experience in Crisis and Incident Management, social media and Data Security matters.
- Worked with data streams and have scaled data and enterprise services to a large consumer audience.
Qualifications
- A background within further education and qualifications within the security industry.
- Desirable qualifications include educated to degree level or other measure experience within the security industry.
- Degree in either Public Security, Police Science or Law Enforcement.
