We are recruiting for a Data Engineer to join our IT team at our Biggin Hill Media & Technology Centre. Reporting into the Head of Customer Data Operations, this role will lead all customer data activities from requirements being understood through to delivery.
Responsibilities- Drive Engineering Excellence: Lead and manage all engineering activities across internal and external teams, ensuring high productivity and quality of execution.
- AWS Expertise: Strong expertise across AWS products, including S3, Glue, Spark, DBT, Terraform, and Redshift.
- Roadmap Prioritisation: Prioritize and manage engineering activities and personnel to deliver on a roadmap, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals as defined by the Head of Customer Data Operations.
- Improvement and Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, methodology and data governance.
- Standardisation of Delivery: Understand, define and standardise the approach, activities and artifacts required in order to deliver engineering activities; ensuring that all are robust, reliable and repeatable.
- At least 5 years' experience in Data.
- At least 3 years' experience of managing resources via a systems integrator model.
- Experience of working across multiple teams with competing priorities is desirable.
- Technology Degree (not essential but desirable).
