We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Composite Build Technician to join our world-class Formula 1 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is eager to learn and develop within a high-performance motorsport environment. You will support the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of composite components, contributing to the performance and reliability of our race car. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will gain hands-on experience both in the factory and occasionally at trackside events. This role is primarily factory-based, with opportunities to travel in support of race and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assembly and preparation of composite components across various projects, following guidance from senior technicians.
- Support the race team with pre- and post-event composite tasks, including basic repairs and part preparation.
- Help maintain and organise composite tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Learn to interpret engineering drawings and follow build specifications.
- Assist with inspection and reporting of faults or damage to components.
- Support aerodynamic development work by ensuring parts are prepared to required standards.
- Contribute to show car builds and promotional vehicles.
- Take part in team training activities and support garage operations when required.
- Carry out additional duties as needed to support the wider team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Some hands-on experience or training in composites, manufacturing, or a related field (motorsport experience is a bonus, not essential).
- A willingness to learn laminating, trimming, and composite repair techniques.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings or a desire to develop this skill.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
