Overview
We’re looking for a highly capableGraduate Experimental Aerodynamicist to play a key role in our aerodynamic development programmes as we continue our mission to be a consistent top-three team in the FIA Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship.
As an Experimental Aerodynamicist, you’ll be responsible for organising, executing, and reporting on wind tunnel tests, working at the heart of a collaborative team focused on innovation and results. You’ll also become an expert in the operation of our wind tunnel and play a key role in shaping and evolving our experimental processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, running, and analysing wind tunnel tests as part of the aero development programme.
- Developing expertise in our wind tunnel operation and contributing to continuous improvements in test methodology.
- Delivering reports to the Aerodynamics department, including analysis and recommendations.
- Identifying and resolving issues proactively to ensure smooth test operations.
- Supporting the wider Aerodynamics group by contributing to the evolution of our testing strategy.
- Weekend support may be required on a rotational basis.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience within a wind tunnel or aerodynamics environment, preferably in Formula 1 or top-level motorsport.
- Strong background in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and testing programmes with precision and structure.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to inspire those around you.
- Calm and confident under pressure, with a clear focus on targets and delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, with a respectful and positive approach to teamwork.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to perform in a demanding and fast-changing environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-oriented mindset.
