Your Role
With the introduction of a revolutionary Media Asset Management system that is intrinsically linked into the core business goals of Formula E, it is fundamental that this role continues to enable the platform to serve its stakeholders both internally and externally with the right Media assets.
Key Deliverables
- Manage the development of Formula E’s cloud-based Video Asset Management ecosystem including storage, video editing workflows, media distribution and associated management platform.
- Lead post-production for the Formula E ecosystem working with internal departments, teams, sponsors and sub-contracted production companies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assume ownership of the integrity of the content, ensuring accurate tagging and meticulous management of metadata within our system.
- Provide instruction and training on the Formula E post-production workflow to team members.
- Oversee media management, ensuring prompt fulfilment of requests from partners and broadcasters.
- Maintain the development of all editing systems that Formula E and broadcast partners use including our cloud-based MAM system, clipping tool, broadcaster portal and AI tool.
- Troubleshoot issues editors face in Premiere Pro and Linux-based servers that run on the virtual machines and the physical servers on premise.
- Teach and train people on the Formula E post-production workflow.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and broadcaster partners and work with external agencies to instil our Formula E ways of working.
- Ensure seamless on-site and remote production facility operations.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with partners, sponsors and broadcasters.
- Collaborate with external agencies to integrate Formula E’s operational methodologies.
The Senior Post Production Manager plays a pivotal role in optimising Formula E’s post-production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with industry standards.
Experience Required

- Demonstrable proven experience in post-production roles within the media or broadcasting industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing post-production workflows, including cloud-based editing systems.
- Experience in overseeing media management, quality control, and collaborating with external agencies.
Knowledge Required
- In-depth understanding of post-production processes, technologies, and industry trends.
- Proficient knowledge of cloud-based editing systems and media management protocols.
- Proficient in Linux-based system management including Docker containers.
- Familiarity with metadata tagging and content integrity preservation.
- Awareness of quality control standards and practices in media content creation.
Skills And Aptitudes Required
- Exceptional leadership and management skills in overseeing post-production teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to teach and train team members on post-production workflows.
- Technical proficiency in video editing software and other relevant tools.
