The Role
Are you a dataâdriven strategist with a passion for uncovering the "why" behind commercial success? We are looking for a sharp, analytical and commerciallyâminded individual to join our Business Intelligence team as a Commercial Insights Manager. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex data and actionable business strategy. You will play a pivotal part in demonstrating the immense value of Formula E's global partnerships, translating diverse datasets into compelling narratives that resonate with worldâclass brands. If you have a knack for storytelling through numbers and the drive to innovate how we measure ROI in the fastâevolving sports media landscape, we want to hear from you. This position is based at the Formula E HQ in London and reports to the Senior Commercial Insights Manager.
- Strategic Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the endâtoâend data lifecycle, from supervising the collection and cleaning of diverse datasets to ensuring absolute accuracy. Interrogate data, identifying key trends and insights that define the performance and impact of our commercial partnerships.
- Partner Reporting & Storytelling: Craft the narrative of our success. Assist with midâseason, endâofâseason and campaign reports, translating technical findings into clear, highâimpact presentations for our partners. Turn spreadsheets into "commercial gold" to help maintain and grow our valued relationships.
- Sales Support & Innovation: Act as the research engine for our growth. Deliver evidence and case studies required to validate our commercial propositions, providing the Sales team with the ammunition they need to win new business. Champion measurement innovation, exploring new tools and methodologies to better calculate the effectiveness of our global platform.
- CrossâFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Partnerships teams to align insights with partner objectives. Manage external research agencies and data suppliers, ensuring they deliver highâquality, timely outputs that meet Formula E's exacting standards.
What we're looking for in you
- The Analytical Storyteller: Proven track record in an insightsâfocused role, ideally within a sports rightsâholder or specialised research agency. Highly proficient in Google Suite (Sheets and Slides) and able to present complex data in a digestible format for nonâtechnical stakeholders.
- The Commercial Strategist: Deep understanding of the sports business landscape and the broader media and entertainment sectors. Know what brands want to achieve through sponsorship and possess the numerical skills to prove we are delivering that value. Experience with data visualisation tools is a significant plus.
- The Collaborative Professional: Strong communicator who can build seamless relationships across departments and with external suppliers. Proactive, detailâoriented and thrives in a collaborative environment where research and insights drive meaningful business actions.
