The Role:

The Premium Experience Director plays a critical role in elevating the Formula E guest experience and maximizing commercial opportunities through premium experience offerings. This role oversees all aspects of premium experience delivery, including Emotion Club, Race Suites, corporate events, catering, and VIP experiences at Formula E Events. This position requires a strategic leader with a strong operational focus, capable of creating exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue growth and exceeding partner expectations.

What we're looking for in you:

  • Highly experienced in a senior hospitality or event management role, with previous experience in a leadership position, ideally within the sports or entertainment industry.

Skills and aptitudes required:

  • Proven track record of success in creating and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, and budget management.
  • Experience in managing catering and F&B operations.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience leading large teams
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Premium Experience Strategy & Development:

o Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for premium hospitality offerings, aligning with Formula E's overall commercial and brand objectives.

o Identify new opportunities to enhance the guest experience and expand premium hospitality offerings.

o Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing, and product development.

• Event Planning & Execution:

o Oversee the planning and execution of all premium hospitality events, including EMOTION CLUB, Race Suites, corporate events, and VIP products.

o Oversee the planning and execution of all Formula E Catering deliverables, across paddock & Premium Experiences.

o Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.

o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., catering, logistics, venue management) to ensure seamless event execution.

• Guest Experience Management:

o Create and curate exceptional guest experiences that exceed expectations and drive customer loyalty.

o Develop innovative and engaging hospitality concepts that align with Formula E's brand identity.

o Oversee all aspects of the guest journey, from pre-event communication to on-site experience and post-event follow-up.

• Catering & F&B Management:

o Oversee the catering function for all premium hospitality events, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and innovative food and beverage offerings.

o Manage relationships with catering suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with Formula E's standards.

• Commercial Performance:

o Support the Ticketing Sales Director in developing a successful seasonal sales strategy and go to market across Premium sales

o Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to premium hospitality customer satisfaction.

o Ensure cost vs revenues balance and optimization.

o Identify and implement strategies to maximize profitability and return on investment.

• Team Leadership:

o Lead and mentor the Premium Experience team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

o Provide clear direction, performance expectations, and development opportunities for team members.

o Oversee team workload and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.
