The Role: Are you a master storyteller ready to shape the global narrative of the world’s most innovative motor racing series? Formula E is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to act as a high-octane engine for our reputation. In this role, you aren't just managing press releases; you are a central hub for storytelling, responsible for translating overarching corporate and sustainability strategies into flawless tactical execution across the globe. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you will be a primary driver for our corporate communications, executive leadership and sustainability agendas. You will act as the bridge between technical innovation and world‑class brand narratives, ensuring our message reaches everyone from international media to internal teams, championship stakeholders and commercial partners with total consistency and power.

  • Strategic Media & External Positioning: You are the voice in the room. You will support an 'always-on' communications strategy to position Formula E as the most impactful voice in earned media globally. From managing daily media inquiries to drafting high‑quality pitches and briefing materials for executives, you ensure our external presence is proactive, prestigious and precise.
  • C‑Suite Thought Leadership: You are the architect of influence. You will manage the C‑suite’s social channels and prepare our top executives for high‑stakes press briefings. By providing proactive guidance on reputational challenges and reactive responses, you ensure our leadership team remains composed and on‑brand during media interviews and event presence across multiple verticals.
  • Sustainability & ESG Narrative: You turn data into purpose. Acting as the primary interface between our Sustainability department and the Comms team, you will translate technical ESG data into compelling narratives. You will drive the sustainability agenda, seeking out media opportunities and speaker engagements that showcase Formula E’s climate commitments to the world, while incorporating messaging across global championship brand identity.
  • Crisis & Stakeholder Management: You are the calm in the storm. You will monitor global news and social media for reputational risks, ensuring that crisis processes are diligently updated and rehearsed. Whether coordinating internal town halls or managing international PR agencies across race markets, you maintain a structured, data‑driven approach to protect and bolster the brand.

What we're looking for in you:

  • The Seasoned Communicator: You possess 3+ years of experience in corporate communications or PR, either agency‑side or in‑house. You have exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to adapt your tone for diverse audiences, from technical trade journals to high‑end lifestyle media.
  • The Industry Expert: You have a deep understanding of the sports media sector, the global sustainability agenda and the EV industry. You come equipped with existing media contacts and a profound grasp of what constitutes a 'compelling story' in the modern earned media landscape, utilising tools like Cision or Meltwater to track your impact.
  • The Strategic Consultant: You possess sound judgement and consultancy acumen. You are comfortable liaising with CEOs and high‑level stakeholders, providing the strategic guidance necessary to navigate the news agenda and achieve complex business KPIs in high‑pressure environments.
  • The Purpose‑Driven Expert: You are passionate about sustainability. You understand the critical importance of ESG practices on business operations and have documented experience leading high‑impact campaigns that involve multiple global stakeholders and diverse cultural practices.
