Using the spectacle of sport, we are sending a powerful and meaningful message to help alter perceptions and speed‑up the switch to electric mobility. Welcome to the home of Global Electric Street Racing.

The Role: Are you an agile, high‑energy communications professional ready to launch your career on the global stage of the world’s most progressive racing series? We are looking for a Communications Executive to join the Formula E team. This is more than a support role; it is a fast‑paced immersion into the heart of elite motorsport, sustainability and international event management. Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be a vital gear in the machine that drives our global narrative. From the high‑pressure environment of the paddock to the strategic planning of global announcements, you will support the team in delivering a world‑class media experience. You will be the “boots on the ground” at many of our races, ensuring our spokespeople are briefed, our media relationships are world‑class and our story is told with precision across every continent we visit.

Global Strategy & Tactical Support: You are the backbone of the communications department’s daily operations. You will support the execution of race promotion strategies, maintaining comprehensive Go‑To‑Market (GTM) plans that align ticketing, local activation and event planning. Whether it’s a partnership launch or a sustainability announcement, you ensure every project, large or small, is tracked, organised and executed to perfection.

Race‑Week Operations & Media Hosting: You thrive in the electric atmosphere of a race weekend. You will manage the end‑to‑end logistics of our Invited Media Programme, coordinate media accreditation and oversee the “press office” environment. You’ll be the primary support for executive briefing processes, ensuring our leadership is prepared to champion Formula E’s core pillars, specifically our pioneering corporate sustainability initiatives, under the glare of the international spotlight.

Integrated Communications & Asset Management: You bridge the gap between strategy and delivery. You will manage the vital “brilliant basics”, from drafting high‑quality press materials and monitoring global media coverage to briefing photographers and managing digital assets. You won’t just follow the news; you will identify trends and opportunities that help Formula E grow its footprint in the competitive landscape of global sport. You’ll also ensure we’re reporting regularly on our KPIs and monitoring coverage in real time.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • The Emerging Specialist: You have a solid foundation in PR or marketing communications, backed by a relevant degree or hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced agency or corporate environment. You understand the “media sell‑in” and possess the research skills to identify the right journalists and influencers for our unique brand of electric racing.
  • The Collaborative “Road Warrior”: This isn’t a 9‑to‑5 desk job. You are ready to embrace a global lifestyle, traveling extensively to iconic host cities across the Formula E calendar. You are a committed team player who remains calm and organised when the pressure is on, treating every challenge as an opportunity to solve problems independently and efficiently.
  • The Precision Communicator: Your attention to detail is flawless. Whether you are preparing a high‑stakes briefing document, proofreading a communications plan, processing purchase orders, or drafting content for social channels, your work is accurate and insightful. You have the “digital fluency” to adapt your writing style for different platforms and the “consultative skills” to understand the complex nuances of the motorsport industry and at all levels of seniority.
  • The Proactive Professional: You don’t wait for instructions; you anticipate needs. You are a creative thinker with the judgment to manage stakeholder relationships and the multitasking ability to juggle diverse workstreams. You are eager to build your network within Formula E, positioning yourself as a helpful, high‑impact colleague who delivers quality work every single time.

What’s in it for you?

  • 25 days’ annual leave, Birthday day off and Wellbeing leave
  • Opportunity to extend your stay if travelling for a race event
  • Health Cash Plan and access to the Aviva Digital Workplace app
  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • Flexible Bank Holidays
  • Paid volunteer and carer’s leave
  • Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme
  • Formula E store discount
  • Regular social events and employee working groups

This is a hybrid role and you’ll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office.
