An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Mark Attorney to join Formula 1’s in-house Brand Protection team. Formula 1 holds the exclusive global rights to commercialise the FIA Formula 1 World Championship—widely regarded as the pinnacle of motor racing and one of the most prestigious and widely viewed annual sporting series worldwide.
With a global fanbase exceeding 500 million and broadcasts spanning more than 200 territories, this role offers a rare chance to work at the heart of a truly iconic international brand. The Brand Protection team, embedded within the Group Legal function, operates from offices in London’s West End and manages a continually expanding global trade mark portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, you will play a key role within a highly collaborative team comprising the Brand Protection Director, Lead Counsel (dual-qualified Solicitor and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney), Senior Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, Trade Mark Attorney, Legal Counsel, and three CITMA Paralegals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the prosecution and maintenance of a global trade mark registration programme
- Assisting with the drafting and review of a wide range of commercial agreements
- The opportunity to be become involved in some opposition work and other contentious trade mark matters
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the Brand Protection team and wider business functions
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of brand protection strategies, policies, and guidelines
About You
- Newly qualified CITMA Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (or up to 1 year PQE)
- Some in-house experience is advantageous, but not essential
- Strong interest in trade mark law within a commercial, fast-paced environment
- Motivated to build your career within a globally recognised organisation
