We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Performance Engineer for our Motorsport division, based at our St James Market Office in London. Are you ready to be part of the world’s premier sport and entertainment spectacle?

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and contribute to project delivery within a small F1 vehicle performance research group, utilizing vehicle dynamics, power unit simulation, and data science analysis to enhance vehicle performance and power unit research. Develop and deploy simulation and analysis tools to assess current and future F1 regulations.
  2. Conduct simulation analyses, including lap simulations and DIL environments, and develop new techniques for simulation and results analysis to deepen understanding of the Motorsport Group\'s assessments of current and future F1 developments.
  3. Contribute to research on the impacts of current and upcoming technical and sporting regulations on the racing spectacle and F1 ecosystem.
  4. Analyze, report, and present vehicle performance data and other research findings for internal and external review.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders possessing relevant tools, technology, and data, fostering strong relationships.
  6. Maintain positive relationships with the FIA and all F1 teams.

About You:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive or Simulation-related Engineering, with a focus on vehicle dynamics and/or powertrain.
  • Extensive experience in vehicle dynamics, powertrain, and motorsports environments.
  • Practical application of vehicle and power unit performance theories, analysis of experimental and theoretical results, and coding development of simulation and analytical software.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant projects or workstreams.
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle dynamics, powertrains, physics, mathematics, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to develop and utilize software code across multiple languages.
  • Skills in analyzing results, creating concise reports, and visualizing data with meaningful conclusions.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, collaborative, and adaptable attitude, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive approach to change and promoting a collaborative work environment.
