We are recruiting for a Sea Freight Coordinator to join our Stock Control and Distribution team based at our Biggin Hill office.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and facilitate the transport and distribution of company equipment worldwide, including hazardous goods, in compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  2. Operate plant, including forklifts, as required and when qualified.
  3. Accurately prepare shipping documentation and declarations as needed.
  4. Act as a point of contact for sea freight enquiries and requirements.
  5. Liaise with logistics partners, providers, and regulatory bodies, maintaining positive relationships.
  6. Ensure compliance with the company’s Known Consignor Security Program and Security policies.
  7. Contribute to and prepare reports related to freight and sustainability.
  8. Maintain awareness of freight legislation, investigating shipping options to meet targets while ensuring compliance.
  9. Contribute to the development and updating of internal systems related to freight, distribution, stock control, and asset tracking.
  10. Assist in logistics planning and budget preparation.
  11. Monitor and report on work undertaken, updating the Head of Department regularly.
  12. Ensure all work is performed safely, following best practices and H&S protocols.

Experience & Specification Essentials:

  • Dangerous Goods Awareness certification.
  • Experience in logistics, focusing on sea freight.
  • Knowledge of import and export documentation, including ATA Carnets.
