Formula 1 is looking to recruit a London based Sales Manager with experience in selling digital media products into UK Media Agency’s and brands directly with a view to EMEA expansion. Reporting into the Lead, Digital Advertising & Content Partnerships in London. Our primary goal is to drive digital investment across our website, app, audio and social channels by delivering innovative, best in class media packages for our clients. The selected candidate will be entrepreneurial, a comfortable presenter and a team player.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and drive forward pipeline to achieve ambitious revenue goals
- Lead on sales presentations to media agencies and clients directly
- Work closely with the London team to help identify new revenue streams and opportunities across Europe.
- Help build and grow long term partnerships with international clients and agencies, focused on existing F1 & team sponsors, car endemics, and local endemic brands.
- Create valuable sales presentations leveraging F1 brand statements, insights, case studies and delivering optimal service to our clients.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Substantial experience in advertising sales or sports sales environment
- Highly organized individual with the ability to work collaboratively and self-motivate with a strong work ethic throughout
- An excellent relationship builder with ability to network with both junior and senior media professionals.
- A knack for winning friends and influencing people.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to produce high quality collateral.
- PowerPoint & Excel skills a requirement
- Deep knowledge of the UK media industry and pre-existing relationships with agency planners and buyers
- Good knowledge of programmatic advertising and understanding of trading deals
- Account management / business development / strategy experience highly valued
- Sound negotiation skills
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software system
- An understanding of F1 or love of sports will be an advantage
- Resourceful: a true self-starter!
- Proactive and can-do attitude
- Team player with excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with advertisers and internal teams
- Attention to detail
