Responsibilities
- Ensure ongoing compliance with SOx requirements across Formula 1.
- Support the Enterprise Risk Management programme by developing and maintaining risk registers and assessment processes.
- Assist in ad‑hoc SOx and risk‑related projects as needed.
- Conduct annual scoping exercises to determine the SOx scope of financial processes, applications and tools.
- Test the design and operational effectiveness of business process controls.
- Prepare detailed audit documentation and reports, highlighting findings and recommendations; lead root‑cause analysis and support remediation activities.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in SOx compliance, audit and risk, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with finance and business teams to ensure compliance with SOx and other regulatory requirements.
- Project‑manage multiple responsibilities across the SOx and risk workstreams, coordinating with in‑house and co‑source teams and managing external auditors.
- Identify and evaluate risks, recommending mitigation strategies and supporting broader operational risk assessments.
- Provide SOx training to business members as required.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent education.
- Qualified accountant or CIA credential.
- Experience in an audit setting (external or internal).
- Experience with PCAOB audits or working for a FPI or US Listed Company.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or other ERP systems) and Azure Cloud (or other cloud environments).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Some knowledge of programming or query languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is beneficial.
- Strong business acumen and familiarity with accounting, finance and related business areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance regulations – PCI‑DSS, GDPR, SOx, ISO 27001.
