About the role
In this dynamic, fast‑growing accountancy and business advisory firm, you will help the firm reach its goal of becoming a top‑20 UK practice. You will work with owner‑managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with owner‑managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and companies.
- Prepare accounts and financial statements for clients.
- Prepare personal tax returns.
- Process client records accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare management accounts to meet client needs.
- Complete and check VAT returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise more junior staff.
- Address basic client queries and provide support as required.
- Carry out administrative and ad‑hoc tasks as needed.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Accounting practice experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of IRIS, Xero and Sage is preferred.
- AAT qualification or studying towards final levels; or early levels of ACCA studies relevant.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to client service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
