Solve manufacturing and field complaints through monitoring and analyzing part quality problems. Implement contingency and definitive measures for process stability. Audit products and parts at the supplier and at the customer’s manufacturing line to ensure specification compliance. Enforce 8D and FMEA requirements with suppliers. Maintain and record customer system activities for charge backs. Analyze data to support decisions and definitions of counter measures to SQE. Position requires 5% domestic and 10% international travel. Remote work is permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of our Birmingham, AL location.
Requires one (1) years of experience in the following:

Quality product knowledge;

GD&T for technical drawings;

Production process knowledge;
-
Full scope assessments;
-
Powertrain components like brake, suspension, exhaust, steering, HVAC, engine, and transmission systems;

NVH analysis for Powertrain components;
-
Powertrain tolerances;
-
Analysis of failed components;
-
Utilization of in-house powertrain expertise to implement long-term development service solutions;
-
Handheld measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, etc.;
-
APQP steps, control plan validation, PFMEA reviews, and audits;
-
Manufacturing experience in welding, stamping, injection/blow molding, casting, and machining; and 8D, 5-WHY, DOE, RedX, and Six Sigma.
