We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Lead Inspector to join our Quality Control team. This critical role bridges the gap between operational quality and leadership, supporting the Quality Control Coordinator (QCC) Team Leader by ensuring inspection processes are executed effectively and efficiently.

For you to be successful in this position you will be responsible for the below, but not limited to:

  • IP Management: Ensure Inspection Points (IP) are promptly and accurately addressed, picked up from the gate, and actioned as required.
  • PPE and Tooling Allocation: Manage and allocate appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tooling to team members, ensuring readiness for all tasks.
  • Behavioural Leadership: Address and manage team behaviours, fostering a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
  • 3-Point Checks: Conduct and oversee 3-point checks to validate adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure compliance with established inspection protocols, escalating concerns or deviations to the QCC Team Leader.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance inspection processes, tooling, and team performance.
  • Training and Mentorship: Support and guide team members to achieve personal and professional growth, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality control within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools, PPE, and quality control software/systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Good communication skills, teamworking abilities and initiative.
  • Adhering to all Company standard operating procedures.
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
  • Working according to the company quality and housekeeping standards.
  • Must have Hi-Vis and safety footwear.
  • Clean UK/ or equivalent Driving Licence.
  • RTW in the UK without restrictions.
