As Spa & Leisure Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest and member experience across our Spa & Leisure facilities. You will lead by example, supporting the day-to-day operation of the department, maintaining high presentation standards, and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and relaxing environment for all guests.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervising the daily operation of the Spa & Leisure Club, ensuring exceptional guest service standards at all times.
- Supporting, motivating, and guiding the Spa & Leisure team during shifts.
- Building positive relationships with guests, members, and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Spa & Leisure reception area, welcoming guests and members, handling bookings, answering enquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assisting guests with spa, leisure, and membership enquiries both in person and over the phone.
- Supporting retail sales, membership administration, and guest check-ins where required.
- Ensuring all Spa & Leisure areas remain clean, safe, tidy, and well-presented throughout the day.
- Monitoring poolside areas, thermal facilities, changing rooms, gym, and relaxation spaces to maintain standards.
- Carrying out regular swimming pool and spa water testing in line with health & safety and operational standards.
- Recording pool test results accurately and escalating any issues or irregular readings promptly.
- Monitoring pool plant operations and ensuring all testing procedures are completed to required compliance standards.
- Carrying out regular health & safety checks and ensuring compliance with pool plant, hygiene, and operational procedures.
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures for the Spa & Leisure facilities.
- Managing towel, robe, and linen stock levels and ensuring replenishment across all guest areas.
- Handling guest queries, feedback, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Supporting the scheduling and coordination of team duties and daily operational tasks.
- Ensuring all supplies, toiletries, and amenities are fully stocked and presented to brand standard.
- Responding promptly to spills, hazards, or maintenance concerns to maintain guest and team safety.
- Assisting with training and onboarding of new team members where required.
Post-Closing Responsibilities:
At the end of your shift, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all Spa & Leisure areas are left clean, organised, and fully prepared for the following day.
- Completing end-of-day operational and safety checks.
- Supporting deep cleaning procedures across changing areas, treatment rooms, thermal facilities, and poolside areas.
- Ensuring equipment is stored correctly and all areas are secured appropriately.
- Sanitising high-touch areas such as lockers, handles, loungers, and reception surfaces.
- Reporting maintenance issues, incidents, or operational concerns to management.
We’re looking for a confident and professional supervisor who is passionate about guest wellbeing, team leadership, and delivering high standards within a luxury hospitality environment. You’ll have:
- A positive, hands-on leadership style and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A strong focus on guest service and operational standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience within a Spa, Leisure, Fitness, or Hospitality environment preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.
- Previous experience working within a Spa & Leisure reception environment would be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of pool testing procedures and leisure health & safety standards is desirable, although training can be provided.
- Strong customer service and administrative skills with confidence using booking or reception systems.
